Main Sections of a Research Paper

A well-structured research paper typically comprises five key sections.

Landscape

Provides context. What have other people done before? This is the related works section.

Problem

What is the research gap? How can we build on this landscape? This is also in the related works section of a paper, for every research you mention, how does your work take it further?

Contribution

What you actually do. There’s different methodologies and methods for this: Scientific which is explaining natural phonemea. System for solving a technical problem. Design for communicating a design space. Social for understanding social phenomena. For each of these methodologies. There is different ways of getting your data. Quantitive (numbers), qualitative, artefacts, frameworks, and algorithms. It is important to note that here what you are aiming to do is prove how your work is somehow a novel information.
